Virtual Babywearing Lesson

Free Babywearing Sessions! 

WHEN & WHERE:

The clinic is held once a month on the third (3rd) Thursday of every month. The clinic runs from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM EST with the last 0ne-on-one thirty (30) minute appointment slot scheduled at 6:30 PM. Preregistering for appointment slots is recommended to avoid wait times. Walk-ins are welcome with the understanding that there may be a waitlist to be seen. The following dates have been determined through the end of 2024:  July 18th; August 15th; September 19th; October 17th; November 21st; and December 19th

The clinic is at the office of Igi Osè inside the old McNaugher Elementary School building, which has become the new Community Resource Mall run by Northside Partnership Project. The building is accessible by buses 8, 11, and 15 and street parking around the building is free. There are nine (9) steps to reach the main entrance and first floor of the building. Topics may include Newborn Wearing, Back Wearing, Specific Wrap Tying methods, Babywearing for All ages. This is a great option for doula groups, chiropractor offices, breastfeeding counselors or child care staff.

No Frills 45 Minute Lesson- $50

a great option for families with 1  aspiring babywearer, includes:

• hands-on, individual instruction on 1 carrier you have on hand
• use of instructor's weighted doll(s)
• email, phone and text support after your visit
• travel time up to 1 hour round trip
• This lesson is free or pay what you can for people who identify as Black, African-American or Indigenous

Basic 60 minute Lesson- $90

includes:

•  instruction for 1-2 aspiring babywearers
• use of instructor's weighted dolls
• assistance with up to 2 carrier types that you have at home
• email, phone and text support after your visit
• instructor's travel time up to 1 hour round trip
• This lesson is free or pay what you can for people who identify as Black, African-American or Indigenous

Enhanced 60 minute Lesson- $120

• All items from Basic lesson PLUS
• instruction for up to 3 aspiring babywearers
• use of instructor's carrier collection during lesson
• print materials with instructions and tips

Deluxe 90 minute Lesson package- $200

includes

• all items from Enhanced lesson PLUS
• use of instructor's carrier collection during visit
• a step by step, full color carrying instruction manual including ring sling instructions, Front Wrap Cross Carry, and/or Back Wrap Cross Carry
• hands on, individualized instruction on up to 3 carrier types
• follow up virtual visit via Zoom, Facetime, or Skype
• This option is best for families with multiples, or those learning back wrapping for the first time.
